Southwest Sports Medicine Fellowship Program
The Waco Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship is a new, ACGME-accredited program approved for two fellow positions. Sponsored by the Waco FM Residency Program, our community-based fellowship works in close association with Southwest Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics, Baylor University and Baylor Scott and White Health – Hillcrest Hospital.
Our fellowship will prepare you for full-spectrum sports medicine. Fellows working with Southwest Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics physicians will provide care for athletes of all ages, from Division 1 athletes at Baylor University to the weekend warriors seen in clinic. Graduates will be able to diagnose and manage acute injuries and medical complications of sports and exercise, care for chronic illness in the athlete and develop the procedural skills for sports medicine, including diagnostic ultrasonography.
