Corbett H. Boone, M.D.
Dr. Boone, a Primary Care Sports Medicine Specialist Certified in Sports Medicine and Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Boone joined Southwest Sports Medicine & Orthopedics (SWSMO) in August of 2009 after completing a Fellowship in Sports Medicine in Tyler, Texas (Trinity Mother Frances/University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler Fellowship program).
A native of Stephenville, Texas, he received his undergraduate degree from Hardin-Simmons University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology.
Dr. Boone was also a member of the three-time American Southwest Conference champion football team at Hardin-Simmons, serving as a team captain his senior year.
He then moved on to complete his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston before completing his residency in family medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler.
Dr. Boone is Board-Certified in Sports Medicine and Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.
While in high school, Dr. Boone played for now Baylor University football coach, Art Briles, at Stephenville High School and won back-to-back championships in 1993 and 1994.
Dr. Boone and his wife, Stephanie, have two children, and he enjoys hunting and would like to become good at golf.
