Christopher Miars, D.O.
Dr. Miars is originally from Grapevine, TX and joined us in January of 2007. Upon completing his undergraduate career in Human Nutrition at Texas A&M University, Dr. Miars graduated from the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1998 with his Doctor of Osteopathy. In 2001, he completed his family practice residency at Michigan State University, and then received his Sports Medicine Fellowship in 2002.
Dr. Miars is board-certified in Sports Medicine and Family Practice by the American Board of Family Practice.
Before moving to Waco, Dr. Miars worked as a team physician for Texas A&M University, Michigan State University, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Lansing Lugnuts (Chicago Cubs' "A" team), Bryan High School, Belton High School, and East Lansing High School.
He and his wife Meredith have three children. They are active members of their church, and volunteer with the college ministry. As a competitive triathlete, his personal experience makes him a perfect fit for all athletes.
